Worldpoly met with DFAT (The Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade), METS Ignited and an amazing group of Latin American journalists to discuss sustainable mining and how Australian innovation is being put into action in Latin America.

The talks were initiated by METS Ignited CEO Ric Gros who detailed to the journalists what METS Ignited’s goals were, their prior achievements & the possibilities for cooperation. The group then spoke openly about the sectors Australian METS companies were excelling in both in Australia and abroad, what issues were facing when expanding into new Latin Amercian territories, and also what Australian METS could bring to the region.

Overall it was a thoroughly enjoyable and passionate discussion, with many ideas swapped and tested. Cooperation between groups like this are integral to the betterment of the world, expansion of trade between countries and to ensure all parties involved are acting in socially & environmentally responsible ways. We look forward to seeing what the future holds!
