The Australian made PolyForce630 Track was used to assist in expanding the Australian Agricultural College (Burdekin Campus) cane fields by welding 630mm SDR41 HDPE used to irrigate the fields. By using the PolyForce630, the customer was able to achieve over 20 welds per day, which is well above what was being done prior to receiving this advanced piece of welding equipment. By using the CNC function of the PolyForce, the crew was able to efficiently and effectively prepare the next length of pipe for the next weld cycle whilst the machine took care of the changeover process without any manual control.
The fact that the unit is self-propelled saved time and the need for a truck when it was time to move to the next field. The adjustable clamping pressures meant that there were no issues with aligning such thin-walled pipe.
